Fan Favorites Cheap Eats: James Street Grill

Canada (Burnaby, BC) – James Street Grill – By Steve Ellis

Actually the place used to be pretty pedestrian and nothing really stood out but about a month ago they garnered the services of the former owner and head chef of Samosas in Vancouver. They started with a couple Indian dishes and slowly worked it into the menu and now I’m told they are going to rework the entire menu around the popularity of these dishes.

The couple that owns the place are Indian so it seems like a good fit really. I’ve zero affiliation with the place other than my buddy and I have been meeting there for drinks and a bite every week for almost 2 years and now finally we like the food. Silly to keep visiting a place we didn’t really like the menu but it’s central and the people that run the place are excellent so that keeps us going back. Now we look forward to ordering.

The place is called “James Street Grill” on Canada Way. Price range from 10 to 16 bucks and they give you an obscene amount of food. I’ve yet to finish a plate.

NOTE FROM ADMIN: James Street Grill is located at 3819 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 1G6 Tel: (604) 676-1876
